I really liked Stringer before he started backstabbing everybody. This scene just shows the respect that Avon and Stringer have for Wee Bay, instead of clipping him too, they hide him. They know he's just too valuable an asset and from his arrest down the road they were right,... he took a bunch of charges on top of his murder because he knew one life sentence or 20, he aint gonna see the outside world ever again. People saying Wee-Bey never did anything, they're forgetting the fact that he shot Omar in the shoulder in Season One, while covering for Avon. The moment of sheer panic in that man's face was priceless. No wonder it became a GIF. I think the legendary meme face was Bey realizing the possibility that he would have to do life. Not that he was afraid, just shocked by the way his life might change. As we all know, he never questioned selling out the fam. 🎬🍿show more

Ironic to hear Stringer saying this considering he was in fact, enrolled in college and looking to ultimately legitimize his way out of the drug trade. The fact is most drug dealers know that death and jail are the only end games to what they do. Stringer thought he was smarter than the rest and could actually make his story end differently. Notice how he refers the other guys being stuck in the game as if the same rules don't apply to him. Stringer thinking he was above the game is what caused him to make some of the moves he made and break the rules, which led to his demise. The look on Namonds face when wee- bey is talking. It's like he knows he can never be his dad. He can fake it all he wants. But deep down he knows they not cut from the same cloth. I'm just glad that Wee Bey did for Namond what Avon didn't do for D'Angelo. I respect Wee Bey for letting his son go the right path. Wee-bey was actually a pretty cool father, who was looking out for what was best for his son. He was initially in denial about Namond, not being the great street soldier that he was, but you could tell he really loved and believed in his son. Wee-bey never reformed like Cutty, but he did the right thing for his son. He ended up being the 'key' to Namond getting off the streets and surviving, by giving him over to Colvin, to raise him. DeLonda was the WORST mother ever. She did not care anything about Namond. He was a trophy to her “Wee-Bey's son” rather than her own child needing love and protection. D was a body Avon wasnt ready to take even tho he was a liability, so "I killed your nephew" was more like i killed a nigga that you couldnt kill even tho you knew you had to. Stringer's ego was so wild he immediately focused on "not hard enough" and immediately dismissed the idea that he's not smart enough for the real businessmen. The irony of Stringer acting like a smart businessman, while doing nothing but making the wrong decisions is so poetic. Ironically, Avon said Stringer wasn't hard enough or smart enough but Stringer was so offended only by the hard enough remark he proved Avon right in making a dumb move that cost him. Avon was full of heart. He had buckshot in his arm and he still attacked stringer with everything he had, making no difference. String was outta pocket He let his emotions get the better of him.. he should have kept that secret to the grave. And back Avon in the war. Regardless of him telling Avon or not he was on borrowed time for setting up muzone. Wonder how this scene would have turned out if Avon wasn't wounded. This scene was legendary for Avon. Gives Goosebumps vibes. Like the boogeyman is coming. You could tell that Avon was a streets guy and knew the game so well. Detective: You wanna even dream about straight life for all these bodies, you gotta wake up talking about Avon Barksdale and Stringer Bell. THIS SCENE PERFECTLY SHOWS STRINGER LACK OF RESPECT FOR THE CODES! Avon was the only one who saw there was no reasoning with someone like Marlo. This is why I respect Avon he had a code Marlo doesn't care. I like that Avon wasn't losing his temper with String in this scene. He was empathetic to String's reasoning and still laid down the law. Look how Avon hates when his name is being attached to something he had no part of, whereas Marlo loved taking credit for stuff he had nothing to do with.🎬🍿

Life in prison and having to deal with De'Londa for the rest of your life. Isn't that cruel and unusual punishment. Man, wee bey was such a well written character. The fact he is a soldier willing to give up his son to an ex-cop, and the writers were able to make it seem perfectly organic and not out of character is a testament to this show. Bey was proud to hear all that good stuff about his son. His son could go to college and become a lawyer, a teacher, or a congressman. And break the cycle in their family line. One of the best lines in the series. "Well look at me up in here…...who the f*ck would wanna be that if they could be anything else Delonda??" Judge Frank Caprio was such a good hearted soul. Always enjoyed seeing him in the courtroom, because he never, ever felt intimidating. He was one of the few people who seemed like he was born to be a judge and lead, because he really did his best to help each person and not just punish. He was strangely comforting in a role that many of us naturally are afraid to be in front of. They called him the "World's Nicest Judge" and he truly deserved it. Found a clip he posted just yesterday on his page before he passed. He asked for prayers but more importantly, to be remembered. And I hope we honor that for him. Rest in love and light, Judge Caprio. Thank you for being one of the kind ones. 🪽

Avon is willing to own up for Stringer's mistake, I don't see why people think Avon betrayed Stringer. Avon looked shook at soon as he seen Mouzone, but then he remembered that if Mouzone wanted to kill him, he wouldn't even have seen him. I like the fact that Brother Mouzone, is always calm and articulate when he speaks. He has an old-school mentality too, you can't bribe him with money and get him to change his mind. Most things that the average man would be interested in, does not interest him. He's easily one of the most ruthless guys on the show. But since he's a small guy dressed up with a bowtie, you wouldn't be able to tell.🎬🍿

Fun fact: when Omar asked the guy what he's in for and the guy says he's here on a 22-55, the guy was actually in prison for real at the time and he was actually waiting on a 22-55 hearing and he agreed to do the show.. Another fun fact is that guys name is Donnie Andrews and he is the actual man that the Omar Little character was based on.. Just a couple more reasons why the wire is best show of all time. I love how Omar was like, "Marlo? naw I never heard of him." No matter how hard Marlo tried, he could never get his name to ring bells like Omar or Avon. I love how this reminds one that Omar is only human. You can clearly see how terrified he was at the prospect of being in there alone. Another point that shows how nobody knows who Marlo is despite him trying his best to be known on the west side. Omar not only knew who Avon is, but knew who every single one of his soldiers is and how they work.
