I really wanted the first record to be different from what I’d done with Genesis so we were trying to do things in different styles. A bit of barbershop, which Tony Levin helped with, there were more bluesy things, a variety of songs and arrangements that were consciously trying... show more

That first album was as masterpiece! but my fav is 'Security/4'.. Saw the Security tour live in July 1983 at the Garden State Arts Center in NJ.. amazing show.. long, long time ago... photo shot on a Kodak 110 Instamatic.. cheers.

Feeling like this is the perfect anthem for Autumn! 🥰 Nat King Cole songs always hit the mark - I love singing them! WDYT? Should I do the whole thing? #autumnleaves #NatKingCole #FallVibes #JazzClassics #coversong #music #Singing #SmoothJazz

Personally, I think your best work comes right out of Foxtrot. I know you had your reasons for going solo, I can't think of Genesis w/o you fronting it.

Peter, I love the variety of music you chose on your first solo album. It showcased how diverse and talented you are ❤️

Funny, when I first heard the album on my car radio at release, not knowing it was Gabriel, all I could think of was Eno.

Brilliant, I saw this performed live at St George's Hall, Bradford in 1975

Brilliant 1st solo album. Bob Ezrin produced, Robert Fripp and Steve Hunter on guitars, so long ago even Tony Levin had hair of sorts. Still one of my favourites.

Definitely different from your work with Genesis, in a very good way!

It’s an absolute banger!! Who else would lead off their first solo LP with a track like Moribund? It’s an LP full of great songs, superb lyrics. Modern Love is a particular fave along with Flood and Humdrum. Terrific band too! As Young Mr Grace would say

Kind of wishing he sported this outfit for a video now and again.

Love this track! 🥳
