It is too much for a nation to suffer from both poverty of the stomach and poverty of the mind. Addressing the poverty of the mind is fundamental to restoring the dignity of human beings. Where are the sources of empowering the mind such as quality education, proper mentoring and role modelling? Someone recently told me that I spend too much time mentoring young people that will not appreciate it in the long run. That has not been my experience.. they thrive, they stand out!
