I recorded a 10-min tutorial on how to use Figma Motion and shaders.

I'm building a massive AI course on Codex and Figma, covering my complete workflow with prompts, templates, skills, and real-world techniques for crafting stunning apps. Coming soon on the new Annual pricing will increase 2.5× soon.

Figma still has a proprietary code layer between its canvas and your agent though. @paper fundamentally changes this and I do think that gives the winning hand, as figma must change their foundations to allow this.

@paper Interesting, need to test the code for the new shaders in Figma.

Already super cool! 🔥 Imagine if you could combine shaders and motion on a design prototype for your mobile app project, for eg. I think a true liquid glass motions and micro-interactions are not too far off in design now.

Yeah really hoping for Liquid Glass to transfer 1:1 figma to code

thanks for sharing, super useful!

trying to be on top of big launches!

It is pretty hard to actually get you design right through prompting your agent, this should be build in into all the coding agents aswell. Does it have mcp?

Yep it has MCP and agents and unlimited during beta

what screen recorder?

This the one I made:

My question is - how is this useful? In what workflow? For what use case?

Three things: 1) AI struggles with quality and consistency, so designing + motion in Figma gives you access to a ton of context and edit controls. Start from existing figma designs or from scratch using agents. 2) Animations and shaders are notoriously hard to prompt so having sliders and timeline controls adds that last 10% human touch, no token needed. 3) Figma motion and shaders exist in code and can be transferred two-ways across AI tools, Figma and code. So, things like logos, assets, components, videos, animations, shaders can be imported/exported. With MCP, you can basically tell AI to do most of that conversion work anyways. But should you choose to switch from autopilot to manual, it's there and it's familiar/powerful. You're not at the mercy of AI.

Interesting. Thanks for the thoughtful reply ❤️

Was exploring these features and your short tutorial popped up. super helpful!

The auto animate and shaders + agents are crazy good.

@UIbyBiba Cool Thanks for sharing

Solid tutorial

Could it watch a motion graphics/animation VIDEO and then duplicate the figma anims based on what it sees?

thank you, meng

Shaders inside Figma is not something I expected to see, curious how deep the customization actually goes.

Great intro video for Figma Motion! Thanks! 🙏

This is cool Thanks for sha

I'm really enjoying this! @MengTo developing a huge interest in Figma. 😜 Keep those 10-minute tutorials coming! I want more

might just use

This feels surprisingly simple even when there is one-prompt ai design tools
