I've started a nonprofit, GuardRailNow, and I need your help. Our approach is unique: I do not come from tech. I cannot write code. I do not live in SF. I am not an EA. I am not a rationalist. I have never been to Silicon Valley. I'm a dad in Baltimore talking about AI extinction risk to other people like me. AI Safety loves selling Bibles outside churches, preaching to the choir. It's easy to talk to people who are like you. It's much harder to talk with people who are very different than you. So why would AI safety people, who are from/in the SF bubble, who use EA/rationalist speech patterns and thought, think they are in any way the right people to bring the message to everyone else?? They are not. If AI Safety wants to get regular people on their side here's a hint: get out of the way. You are the problem. You do not act or talk or think in ways that connect with everyone else. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh. But our lives are on the line. Get over it and pass the ball to people like me.

This is not a Kikuyu problem. It is not a Kamba, Kisii, Luo, or Kalenjin problem. It is a National problem. An entire nation cannot be held hostage by one man's pride, arrogance, and refusal to listen. William Ruto has divided Kenyans along tribal lines, demonized dissent, and governed with an attitude that we all see as contempt for the very people who elected him. In 2027, the choice is simple: reject arrogance, reject impunity, and reject failed leadership. Kenya deserves a president who respects the people not one who expects the people to bow to him. Where are the Muslims around the world decrying the evil Muslim rape gangs in the UK? If this systemic rape and sexual torture of children, this exploitation, this dehumanization of people who are not Muslim—especially those who are sexually vulnerable...if this is not part of your religion, if this is not something you believe in, if this is contrary to your religious beliefs, then why are you quiet? You will not believe this report CBC just put out. They are claiming that misinformation is causing people not to believe that “climate change” is starting these fires and it’s not arson or done accidentally by people.
