Communities are talking, listening to one another, and building alliances because they understand that no single community can change Kenya alone. Today, instead of building bridges, Gladys Wanga, Opiyo Wandayi, John Mbadi are encouraging tribal hostility and celebrating confrontation with anyone who questions President Ruto. Ask yourselves: who benefits when Luos and Kikuyus are turned against each other? It is certainly not the ordinary mwananchi struggling with the cost of living, unemployment, or poor public services. Political parties rise and fall. Luo Nation people is saying ODM no longer commands the broad national influence it once did, while other communities including Kamba, Kikuyu, Luhya, Kisii, and many Kalenjin are exploring new political partnerships. That is the reality of politics: it changes. Direction is more important than speed. Ordinary Luos are not asking for endless political battles. They are asking for jobs, affordable food, quality healthcare, better schools, and accountable leadership. Those are the conversations that should unite Kenyans. Do not abandon Kalonzo Musyoka simply because of tribal narratives. Judge every leader by their vision, integrity, and commitment to the country not by their surname or community. It is fundamentally wrong to generalise and paint everyone who speaks isiZulu as a tribalist, just as it is wrong to stereotype any other linguistic, ethnic or cultural group with the same brush. The problem is not a language, an ethnic group or a culture. The problem is those who deliberately mobilise people on the basis of tribe, ethnicity or regional identity to divide the working class and our people. Our duty is to reject and condemn all forms of tribal mobilisation and ethnic chauvinism, regardless of where they come from. The answer to division is unity. The answer to hatred is solidarity. The answer to ethno-nationalism is non-racialism, non-tribalism and the common struggle of all working people against unemployment, poverty, inequality and corruption. Let us not deepen the wounds. In 2007, he weaponised Kalenjin pain against Kikuyu neighbours. Today, as president, he is engineering suspicion Luo, Luhya, Kalenjin vs Kikuyu not because tribes hate each other, but because a cornered man needs enemies to survive. Look closely: Luhyas are refusing. They say: we won’t be used. Kisiis are resisting. They say: our struggles are shared. Ordinary Kenyans are tired. They say: our problem is poverty, not tribes. So what does Ruto do? He reaches for the oldest, dirtiest tool in Kenyan politics: outsourcing tribal venom. He doesn’t shout it himself. He uses compromised Luo elites, desperate men with positions but no dignity, to spit poison on his behalf to provoke Kikuyu anger, to trigger fear, to recreate siege politics. Not because Kikuyus are the problem. Not because Luos are the problem. But because unity terrifies him. Three years in office. Nothing to show. What remains of the promises? Bottom–up? Libya 🇱🇾 government putting their foot down saying:, We respect all people and all nationalities, but at the same time, we have the right to demand respect for our country's laws. Libya is not a land for resettlement, and the Libyan people are the ones who decide the future and policies of their country. We welcome anyone who enters legally and respects the country and its people, but we reject chaos and illegal immigration that harms citizens and the country. Demanding organized immigration and protecting national sovereignty is not hatred; it is a natural right for any country in the world.

The hostility Mbadi appears to harbour towards the Kikuyu community has led many luos to question the attitude of the administration he serves. It is remarkable that a man who never voted for Ruto seems so eager to attack the very people who stood firmly behind him. If Mbadi is merely speaking for himself, then he alone should be held accountable for his words. But if he is acting as a messenger, then Kenyans have every right to ask what kind of message the sender is trying to communicate. One thing is clear: Mbadi's views are his own. They should not be used to judge the Luo community. An individual's opinions belong to the individual, not to an entire people.

I remember being stuck during the El Niño rains as a child in school and being marooned for hours until very late at night in 1997. Leadership is to provide solutions; it is not about blaming. The same people who cry foul when we evict those on the riparian are the same ones making noise. We hired 4500 green army who are out there unclogging every single day, but who dumps in those drains? Who is littering in those drains? We have provided bins. There is a responsibility all of us must bear. We must be the generation that sorts out the problem, not remembers the problem and leaves it for somebody else #CitizenSundayLive

I reject any accusation that having these conversations and considerations are ‘divisive’ or an ‘attack’ on Sikh communities - who are genuinely beautiful people. This is not an attack on people - this is a conversation around a KNIFE that people happen to carry freely. If you want to live in Australia, carrying around 20cm blades on religious grounds, symbolic or not, does not pass the pub test.

We, Arabs, have killed and oppressed a million times more of our people than the West and Israel can ever do. It is not Israel that married off my mother when she was a child. It is my people who did. It is not the West or Israel that has been bombing Yemen for the past decade and killed 400,000. It is us, Arabs, who did it. It is not the Israel that implanted Islamic extremism in the East and the West. It is our mosques, it is the books we worship, it is the Imams we follow, it is what we learn and what we teach. It is not the West that forces us to treat women like commodities. It is our people. And most of all, it is not the West or Israel that doesn’t value Arab lives. If we do not admit to ourselves that WE are the problem, that WE are refusing to progress, and that WE need to change – then change will never happen, blood will keep flowing, and we will never know peace.
