FSU General Secretary Lord Young wrote to Andy Burnham in his capacity as Mayor of Greater Manchester after it emerged that senior chiefs at Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) sent an email to staff warning of firefighters who had supported or stood for Reform UK. As Mayor of Greater Manchester, Mr Burnham has been responsible for the governance of GMFRS.
