I'm constantly surprised by how much I can get out of Claude Code. Recently installed the github command line tool gh, and I'm now getting it to manage PRs too, pull comments, fix things, etc. I used to do the PR work on the web and have been getting comfortable having Claude do this now. I wonder if the barriers to use this is just that I need to get comfortable with giving more Claude more tools and access.

Cat, I really enjoyed the pod — thanks! I actually built a general-purpose sales agent using the Claude Code SDK and can attest to how easy it is to prototype - kudos to you and your team! I envision new agents as just: - a system prompt describing key workflows - tools - memory management Wdyt?

Hi Cat, thanks for sharing your insights about Claude Code it's really helped me build. With regards to "multi-clauding" have you thought about features to make multiple Claudes in the same workspace aware of each other for context? Seems like the community is creating a lot of hacks and workarounds to solve multiple agent coordination.

@alexalbert__ I've never had good success with multiple claude agents in the same codebase ! they try to run the same command like start up the app, kill processes from the other guy to do their own thing, etc

@alexalbert__ Listened to that yesterday while biking home - nice one! Next time spill on more upcoming features please and thanks cat! 😃

@alexalbert__ @_catwu am still hoping that you guys would open source claude sometime because it's very crucial for some of us to understand what is underneath before diving straight into using it for more high level tasks.

@alexalbert__ Thanks for the insights! Is Claude Code ever going to have a tab completion feature in the editor? It would make the occasional manual edits a lot easier by leveraging the context gathered by the agent.

@alexalbert__ Hey, awesome to see the focus on SDKs. I was prototyping on top of claude code and ended up building an SDK for swift. Would love some support to align w the vision you have for the SDKs.

@alexalbert__ Interesting. Building features around emerging behaviors sounds like a dynamic development process. What drives "multi-Clauding"?

Great chat. You can feel that Claue code is used by people who built it. One question, what project management tool do you use to manage this type of parallel work. like multiple devs each has their multiple Claude code working on things, how to coordinate is the key here I think.

@alexalbert__ This video was inspiring. Claude Code SDK seems applicable not only for a Software Engineering Agent but also for a business agent. I'd like to learn more about examples and ideas for using Claude Code SDK in business operations.

Claude Code cracked something open for us Every 🧱. Now I ship to codebases I barely know, every feature we ship makes the next one easier, and non-technical members of the team use the terminal. I’m genuinely grateful. So I brought its creators, Cat Wu (cat) and Boris Cherny (Boris Cherny) from Anthropic, on AI & I to say thank you—and to talk about everything they’ve learned from building Claude Code. We get into: • The workflows Anthropic’s smartest engineers use to push Claude Code to its limits. Why they pit subagents against each other to get cleaner results, how they turn past code into leverage, and the slash commands and MCPs they rely on most. • The product lessons behind one of the most loved AI agents in the world. How the team balances simplicity and power—building a tool that anyone can use, but that experts can bend to their will—and their philosophy of “unshipping,” or cutting back whenever there’s a simpler, more intuitive path to user intent. • A peek into the future of coding with AI. The new form factors they’re experimenting with to make Claude Code more autonomous, more reliable, and more accessible to non-technical users This is a must-watch for anyone—both technical and non-technical—who wants to learn how to use Claude Code like the people who built it.
