I see increasingly outrageous behaviour by motorists on zebra crossings. This was from last night’s commute on JUST ONE crossing. Drivers should watch the way cyclists deal with these junctions and learn from them.

At the start you say, you don’t proceed until the pedestrians have fully crossed and yet twice you do? Hope you reported yourself too!

How the heck do you not block that crossing when approaching the junction? It’s an horrendous place to put a zebra crossing!

Could you please just obey the rules when you drive instead of threatening pedestrians? YOU WAIT. That is the answer.

I will ask you again. (3rd time). Come out in my London Taxi for 1 hour. Bring your chum Mikey and we’ll count the misdemeanours of cyclists v cars at red traffic signals and zebra crossings. The loser, (one with most infringements) pays the fare to a charity of winners choice.

I’ve lost count of the number of times cyclists have nearly knocked me over on zebra crossings … easy to report motorists but cyclists always seem to get away with it …

That's strange. Because the last time I checked, drivers were killing 1,700 people a year. Cyclists about three.

It seems the cyclist in front of you crossed the Zebra crossing while a pedestrian was crossing; perhaps bicycles need plates on so they can be reported. Oh, you also appear to have entered the crossing area before the person completed their crossing.

I think it's so dangerous. A driver has got to effectively launch themselves out of the junction and hope they time it right to get on the adjacent road. I'd imagine it's always busy there, so they rarely get the chance to wait on the zebra to turn. How did that pass planning?

No. The driver has to wait until the crossing is clear and the road is clear. No matter how long that takes. He doesn't have to “launch” anywhere
