I spent a weekend vibe coding a beach with Google Antigravity and Flutter Scene. :) It's an early demo, but the waves already break on their own. An FFT ocean spectrum feeds a shallow water solver in the surf zone, and the water color comes from published ocean optics tables.

Antigravity built the whole thing. My favorite moment was it catching its own bug by dimensional analysis. A friction exponent was 10/3 instead of 7/3, so the thin wash on the sand was dragging about 50x too hard.

Wave spectrum ported from owenyuwono's Poseidon (MIT). The sand is a Poly Haven scan, and the sky started as a Gemini 3.1 Flash Image panorama calibrated against a real beach HDRI. The skybox fixes it needed ship in Flutter Scene 0.24.

Riptides can roll in at any given moment. When two waves cross like that on the beach, never go in or near the water. Lifeguards are incredibly brave people, risking their lives for minimal pay. An old saying in Hawaii- “Do not turn your back to the Ocean.” A large wave can come without warning knocking people off their feet and sweeping them away into the ocean. 😳 The ocean is not to be messed with. 💯💯

🤯Wow! A small plane flew right past me while I was running, and I recorded it making an emergency landing in the ocean near South Beach Park in Boca Raton, Florida. I ran down the beach and caught up to it, saw the passenger safely on shore and watched the plane begin sinking into the water. Incredible job by the pilot landing safely in such a difficult situation!

The Maldives is one of the most beautiful places on the planet but the ocean floor there is a completely different story - this woman accidentally stepped on a stingray while wading in shallow water with a baby in her arms and it is a reminder that what looks like a peaceful paradise can turn dangerous in an instant. Stingray stings are excruciatingly painful and in rare cases can be deadly depending on where the barb lands. I am not putting a baby’s feet anywhere near open water without knowing exactly what is underneath the surface especially in the Maldives where stingrays, sea urchins, and other hazards blend right into the sand. The ocean is not a kiddie pool no matter how clear and blue it looks. Would you let your baby wade in water like this?

Just when it seemed impossible to return, a dolphin appeared beside him, gently guiding him through the water and pushing him toward safety.
