I still think Martinez is a far better midfielder than a central defender. He gets turned so easily when he’s the last man, lacks pace to play in a high line and can still get out jumped. If he didn’t have his passing ability, he’d be holding bench.

🔎✨ Wouter Burger 🇳🇱 People will know how in depth I went about Burger in the summer - and how happy I was to see him in England, I had little doubts that his skill set wouldn’t translate in to a different league. In a season where Stoke have struggled he’s always seemed to put in good to decent performances and I’m really happy he has. He has at times played in a double pivot with Pearson but also played as a box to box and I really like the role because he has attacking attributes that can benefit the offensive side for the team.
