Prayers to you Ben. Your faith will carry you through. I hope this helps you. My husband had cancer twice in his lifetime. He was a strong man but too weak for a bone marrow transplant. He agreed to do deeper bone marrow biopsy before he passed to help in the research of Leukemia at Univ. of PA. I'm telling you if you are able to do whatever experimental treatment you can to have the gift of time for you & your family. You never know what breakthroughs may come from it & you're helping others in the same situation. Stay strong. God Bless 🙏

I know what awaits us and the evil down here, as vexing and painful as it is and illness, disappointment in humanity, etc…doesn’t have anything on the goodness that awaits us at Home! It’s weird to say I’m Homesick for a place I’ve never been and for a Family, Father to fellow Christians and ALL in btwn. yet here I sit, trying to nag God so much that He gets us all, but I wouldn’t care really how I get there, I just LONG TO BE HOME! We sat in the south, “It’s Time To Go To The House,” and trust n believe, I Mean It! I’m sorry for his suffering, I’d take it from him and others if I could, but unfortunately it doesn’t work as such! God Bless, Congressman Sasse! 🙏🏽 to Ben and his family. Every terminally ill person experiences this. My 47-year-old husband, who passed away on July 5th last year from cancer, went through it as well. He regretted that he spent our 21 years together working tirelessly and not spending more time with our loved ones and me. It’s incredibly difficult for everyone involved. 😭

Ben Sasse is a true hero. He's providing a service to the living who, all of us, must this way pass that goes far, far beyond what anyone in politics or the halls of power could ever do for us. Much like Socrates or St. Paul. Pretty worthless to devote ourselves to anyone in political power. Only Christ is worthy of our lives and devotion. Those who model that for us merit our undying gratitude.

@BenSasse Not knowing Sasse's actions w/ his son, my one bit of advice to him would be take your son everywhere you go, w/everyone you talk to & everything you do. B/c in the 'end' that will be his son's and daughters' reoccurring thought : I wish I hadn't missed a single moment.
