I was far from a Charlie Kirk fan. Just neutral on him. But I now see how few men there are in positions of influence in America that are willing to say NO to millions of dollars and willing to stare death threats down without cowering. It’s a world full of fraternity/secret society culture where the background alliances are more important than loyalty to the greater good. Seeing all these tough talkers get positioned only to then get neutered by Country Music Sensations or promises of being considered a Messiah in Trump’s case, makes me really respect the hell out of Charlie. It really goes to show how much of a threat to power he could have been down the road. He stood on principles and was even willing to change his mind to match those principles and values as new information was presented that didn’t align with them. Losing Kirk is a much bigger loss than I originally thought and I already knew it was enormous.
