This happened in Edison, NJ, on March 2 ──────────────── A Middlesex County woman died Monday afternoon when the SUV she was driving left the roadway at a high rate of speed and became wedged beneath a flatbed tractor trailer, authorities said. The woman, whose name was not released, was driving east on New Durham Road in Edison when her SUV left the road, according to police. “The vehicle became airborne, entered Talmadge Road, and collided with a flatbed tractor trailer that was traveling on Talmadge Road,” Edison Police Chief Thomas Bryan said in a statement. The woman’s SUV traveled under the tractor trailer, resulting in “catastrophic damage,” Bryan said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene around 3:24 p.m., the chief said. The force of the crash pushed the tractor trailer into four other vehicles. One of the other drivers was taken to JFK Medical Center for evaluation and treatment of minor head and leg injuries, but no other serious injuries were reported, Bryan said. Bryan said investigators believe the driver who died may have suffered a medical episode prior to the crash that caused her to lose control of the SUV.

Under no circumstances should bus drivers be threatened, attacked or threatened to be attacked. If this cyclist was unhappy about something there is procedures in place to report them. After the recent murder of a bus driver I condemn this cyclists actions ….. Bus drivers have a tough job especially in this heat …. Thank you to all the bus drivers out there doing a great job.

While I do moonlight as a legislator, I am also a diesel mechanic. I have been turning down non-english speaking drivers for years. I am glad other people are starting to get tired of it also. If you can't speak english, you shouldn't be operating an 80,000 lb tractor-trailer.

This is exactly what happens when both the government and drivers are equally reckless. Stop bragging about E20 fuel and EV revolutions when the basics aren’t even in place. At least half the people on the road don’t even know what hydroplaning is, and countless lives are being wasted just because of this criminal negligence. First fix the damn flyovers, improve road designs, and enforce a proper guidance system. The moment someone buys a bike or car, there must be a mandatory one-hour safety briefing. How many more deaths will it take for the government to wake up? Safety should come first everything else is secondary! 🙏🏻
