I think I found a way to make a React Native list component with significantly better performance than FlashList, with 100% javascript. I'm still testing it but as far as I can tell there’s no pitfalls or issues… It just requires the new architecture for synchronous onLayout.

Testing Cyberpunk 2077 on the PS5 Pro with the newly added VRR support It runs at about 70-90 FPS at Performance Mode now on the PS5 Pro, unfortunately Quality Mode is still locked to 30FPS as far as I can tell. No official PS5 Pro Support is a shame but this is a good step!

i'm writing my own gui framework in c++ and rewriting my image editor using it, which is going good so far, i wanted to move from swiftui, qt, tauri, electron, react native, and flutter so i can use metal and directx gpu apis on macos and windows as much as possible,so i think going full metal/directx is the way to go i know i have a very hard and long way to go though as there are many many flaws,bugs in this very very early version and doesnt utilize the gpu as much as i want to but i hope we will get there soon ,i also need to make the ui look somewhat decent instead of whatever mess it is right now

Okay let's compare. We have implementations for native (SwiftUI & Compose), react native and flutter in no particular order. Can you tell them apart? Flutter actually did better than I expected visually, experience was as expected though (not great)

I have no idea if Trump was hit by a bullet or shrapnel. But some MAGA bros on YouTube filmed in high-speed a ballistic test using a dummy head to demonstrate what an AR-15 would do to someone's ear. As far as I can tell they were attempting to prove that it was a bullet but I think they ended up showing that it very likely was not based on the damage it would do.

THIS IS SO SUSPECT that it would make me not even watch football anymore if I didn’t love it… If I was a newbie or casual, I’d question if this display was as fake as is the scripted outcomes in WWE. There’s no way you can miss this DPI, except on purpose! No, we shouldn’t have ever been in this tight a game with Dallas, but it still doesn’t negate how ridiculous this non-call is! 🤨

I really hope DICE can work some wizardry and improve the netcode/desync issues with Battlefield 6 because this happens way too often. Moments like this make me think ''yep, that's enough BF6 for today'' and I bet it does a lot of others too. I felt like I reacted as fast as possible and got out of a bad situation, but got duped by the netcode. #Battlefield #Battlefield6
