I can hear the Australian come out in certain words, but your accent is very Americanised. when you said "nobody believes me" in the first sentence it was Aussie, but when you said "middle of nowhere" in the second it was very American.

That’s really interesting! Thank you so much for your input. Accents are so fascinating

I hear a tinge of aussie. as an aussie myself you have a VERY americanized aussie accent. Most likely from watching american tv growing up :) Theres nothing wrong with it! You're great :D

Yeah I figured as much!! But it’s fun getting someone else’s ear opinion. I like hearing the mixed answers!

As an Aussie, I can only just hear it. But it’s still there.

I can still be saved..

I CAN HEAR IT!! from a chinese aussie who also watched too much american media..

🥹🙏 there’s still hope.. hello fellow losing accent Aussie!!!

WE HAVE HOPE!! 🙏 i believe!

It's apparently called Linguistic Accommodation. It happens.

I can still hear it, quick we can save it! Doctor inject the patient with Vegemite, Tim Tams and VB stat!!

@LiveseyKnight DON'T FORGET THE MILO

I feel that

I can hear Australian and I live in Australia myself

OMG IM THE SAME I WENT THE IGA NEAR MY HOUSE ONCE, AND THERE WAS A NEW LADY AT THE COUNTER AND SHE ASKED ME WHERE I WAS FROM AND SAID MY ACCENT IS INTERESTING AND I SAID "Oh, I'm from across the road.. Born and raised Australian haha.." 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Na mate this bloody accent is never leavin me

i'm australian but neither of my parents are so i never got the accent and also probably have some weird hybrid accent😭

I hear faint Aussie,, you kinda sound like my irl friends who were born in australia but consumes mostly American media and also formed a hybrid accent

Fellow Aussie, I can hear it, but only just. Especially when you said Aussie. Get that Home and Away on! Watch some Neighbors!

Girl, me too! I used to work at a call centre, and I'd have 40-year-old British people telling me I wasn't from here. "Screaming inside, I was born here, and you immigrated."

I'm so sorry you went through that, that's awful

Thanks, but I'm making it sound more dramatic than it was. It was funny but frustrating xD Just being told by people that I sound American and "No, you're not from here." was crazy xD Nice to see more Vtubers from here at home, keep it up.

OMG GURL SAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I consumed A LOT of British, and American media so my voice ends up pivoting to British a lot (because of the mouth placement) so I end up with a british intonation but saying it like an Aussie. I feel ya OTL

As a fellow Aussie, I’ve been told the same with having an American accent, ironically my brother has the opposite issue and has a British accent (also Aussie)

you sound like bindi irwin

As an aussie i can tell you're Australian easily. Just the way you say "Australian" sounds aussie. But yeah i have had american friends i play games with all the time and i tell them i don't sound aussie when i hear myself but they tell me i sound aussie

Same! Though over a decade of chatting with Americans has my accent slipping, But if it helps I can absolutely hear your aussie slip through!

Nah, I can still hear the twinge of Aussie in you.

In my opinion You have a few little Australianisms in your accent that only a fellow Aussie can pick up on

I’m the same.. people keep saying I sound British, and for some reason if I say the word “British” it sounds like it’s in an accent

I can hear a strong American accent with some faint Aussie still left in you

Layna coded

Literally so real, I’ve been told by Australians I’ve got an American accent, been told by Americans I have an Australian accent, and I literally can’t tell which accent I’ve actually got besides randomly turning Scottish from time to time

I think you’re a gone-er…. QAQ I don’t hear any Aussie in there 0-0

I've heard a lot of mixed things so it's really interesting to see what people can and can't hear in my voice! You're just like me in that I don't hear any Aussie in my voice

QAQ We come here to memorialize the Aussie accent Idk when you born - 2026 lmao

I can faintly hear a bit of an Aussie accent... probably because I'm in a slightly similar situation, where I consumed way too much American TV as a kid, so I've been told I have a slightly blended Aussie/American accent

i can hear it slightly maybe cuz im aussie

Shameful

minor tinge of aussie, also suffer the same problem and always have to explain that i lost my accent, for me it was talking to too many americans online (And oddly enough, speaking TOO clearly is not very aussie)

As a fellow aussie. You sound Australian to me

In fairness i believe you cause im also a Aussie and most time no one understands my accent, i think its thick

Girl dont worry happend to me too, im an aussie too and my accent doesnt exist

@MeowKizaLOLZ Oh my god there’s so many of you like me out there I didn’t know about. I swear 99% of the Aussies I know have the accent 😭

GANG I KNOW EVERYTIME I TALK SOMEONE LIKE 'NO ITS SPOKEN LIKE THIS HERE' GOT ME SELF CONSCIOUS

I can definitely still hear some Aussie in there, like when you say “you” for example, you still don’t say the u part as oo like Americans do lol
