I think I've found a quite nice trick to recreate a little lens distortion effect in Figma to replicate the Liquid Glass material. Find a little tutorial below ⬇️

The trick is in multiple circles with different "background blur" values, starting with the smallest one in the center and getting bigger to the edges. Additionally, the entire group with lenses should be blurred using the "Layer blur" effect, which will make the lens effect appear smoother.

Or you can use my Figma community file to learn how it works :)

@figma respectfully. Are you on crack? This is literally progressive blur.

@figma Bravo Max! Best implementation I’ve seen so far

@figma Best one I’ve seen by far!

@figma Nice but I guess not that gpu-friendly

@figma not friendly at all))

@figma More like a refracted glass effect rather than liquid glass??

@figma My mac will turn into an inferno lol
