I like pastors like this who are very practical and have learnt to separate life reality from religion.

@AJmiracle2020 This is the only public truth that was spoken in Nigeria in recent time. He who have ears listen to him and also understand what he said.

I always tell myself that exposure will make you realize that we practice religion more than having confidence in God; if you had the opportunity to leave Nigeria and travel only to Ghana, your prayer point will change. My point is that your faith should be stronger in God than in your preacher. Because most pastors use religion to blindfold your confidence in God, receive sense #mixofusng

Is this pastor in Nigeria? His members may not know how blessed they are. This is not just a message for Christians, but a lot of pastors should listen to it on repeat.

As Christians, we do not fast because we need a favor from God/want him to answer our prayer request. You can’t be fasting & be watching blood sisters or consecrate yourself with the things of the “world”. We fast to build our spiritual lives & consciousness of God. Ezra 8:21

Mark 9:29 “Jesus answered this kind cannot go out except by fasting and prayer”. Purposeful fasting & prayer is very good and helpful. What many call fasting is mere hunger strike. For fasting & prayers to be acceptable by God, obedience is needed.

Fasting isn't just a sacrifice,it's a requirement for spiritual growth. Even Jesus the epitome of grace and the only begotten son fasted for days to fulfil destiny. We should be careful about too much emphasis on grace without sacrifice

"However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting." - Matthew 17:21 NKJV "And Jesus said to them,.....But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast." - Matthew 9:15 NKJV
