Eddie Hearn believes Conor Benn has very little chance against Ryan Garcia at 147lbs. “If he gets hit flush on the chin at 147 against Ryan Garcia, the fight is over. So he’s got to rely on his ability but he likes to engage, he likes to jump in. Ryan is so reactive, he’s a great counter puncher” With all that being said, the question is: would he have said the same thing if Conor Benn was still with Matchroom Boxing?

Jon Jones has every reason to be upset. With all due respect, if Conor Benn is getting $15 million to fight Regis Prograis, Jon Jones is worth $30 million, and Conor McGregor is worth $75 million. Does the UFC think these guys are fools? I can guarantee you they’re going to come with that number to Conor McGregor, and he’s going to laugh in their face. Why would he ever agree to that? Conor and Jon are on a totally different level in terms of track record and drawing power.

Nigel Benn v Gerald McClellan.😳 I was in a pub with mates watching the most amazing fight ever, Benn was a huge underdog as McClellan had previously despatched all-comers clinically and early. Benn was out of the ring early and down, he had no chance but he survived that beating and suddenly his warrior instincts came out and he somehow took over, the most brutal fight ever followed. It’s so sad that the outcome was that Gerald McClellan suffered life changing injuries after his bravery and skill on show that night, such a great fight with such a tragic ending.🙁 I saw Benn early on through my army mate talking him up and he went from a really fast finisher of bouts to a punishment taking warrior who had stamina and heart in abundance.

I think Ryan’s struggling to make weight, and I think that’s going to weigh heavily on Ryan. I saw the same thing with my guy Filip last week. He really got into Itauma's head. He told him he was going to smash his face in, throw him out of the ring and send him back to high school. Conor sort of has that attitude this week. My guy is going to be willing to go to places that Ryan has proven he won’t go to, and I think that’ll be the difference in the fight."
