Les Misérables is fiction. "One Day More" wasn’t sung during the actual June Rebellion of 1832—or any real revolution—because it’s a song written for the Les Misérables musical, which debuted in 1980. 😀

You're--understandably--mistaken: Les Mis is about the "June Rebellion" of 1832 and was more of an effort at Bourbon restoration; the French Revolution was 16 years later.

Yeah I haven’t seen Les Mis in a hot second so I misspoke on which revolution/rebellion it was. Same point, though.

We do not elect people to the oval office who call up governors and say, get me five more seats no matter what you have to do. We don't elect people who ask for more votes than they actually earned.
