Lakers two-way forward AK Okereke describes his game: "It's one of versatility, offensively and defensively, and just really doing whatever the team needs...it really just comes down to doing whatever the team needs. I think that's a valuable trait."

Intense stuff from Jeremy Stephens: "I'm breaking men in bare knuckle because it's raw, it's primal. It's fucking my sport... I broke his jaw. I'm glad he's home with his family, but I broke his fucking jaw like I said I would because I bring and channeled that fucking pain. So all his boys, his teammates, they caused him more fucking pain."

Last week in Harrison, Arkansas, 16-year-old Brayden Anderson was with a group of friends when a gun being handled by another boy accidentally discharged. Brayden was struck and killed. The young man holding that weapon has since been charged with negligent homicide. Tomorrow, Brayden will be laid to rest. His father, Aaron, has invited everyone to Brayden’s Celebration of Life. The community. The first responders who were on scene that day. Every teenager who was in that room when Brayden was killed. Everyone. He has made it clear that there will be no hatred, no hostility and no pointing fingers. Tonight, I watched this video of Aaron saying he forgives the boy who was holding the gun. “Two lives were destroyed that day… We still have a chance to save one.” That stopped me. This man is preparing to bury his 16-year-old son, and he is worried about the boy who accidentally killed him. He knows that boy will carry this for the rest of his life, and he doesn’t want this tragedy to destroy what remains of it. I don’t know if I could do what Aaron is doing. I look at the way he is walking through the unimaginable, and I see a Christ-centered life in a way I can only dream of living one day. There is something incredibly humbling about watching someone live out the faith I profess when it costs this much. Please watch his video. And please pray. Pray for Aaron and his family as they lay Brayden to rest tomorrow. Pray for the kids who were in that room. Pray for the first responders who answered that call. And please pray for the young man who was holding that gun. Aaron is asking us to. I think we should. 🙏

Mikel Arteta on Gabriel Martinelli's departure from the club: "With Gabi, gratitude - and it's been a pleasure to work with him, to be part of this journey with him. The Gabi that I met and the Gabi that just left - it's a huge transformation, both on the personal side and on the professional side. I think the impact he had for the club, his ambition, his love for the game, and the way he has, I think, helped us to grow and achieve our goals - I think he's been a critical player. So, yeah, the story ends, and we wish him all the very best in a different one."

Jaylen Brown on Kawhi Leonard: “I think Kawhi is one of the best two-way players of all-time. Offense and defense. His ability to take over a game. His defensive versatility, his offensive versatility. He’s derailed by injuries but people don’t understand how much effort it takes to put so much energy on both sides of the ball. Can easily just focus on offense and focus your energy on offense, but somebody who gives their all on offense and defense has wear and tear on their body. He was derailed by injuries, but in his prime in his peak he’s one of the best two-way players of all-time in my opinion.” On taking that defensive assignment: “Why wouldn’t I? I seek those challenges… Obviously Kawhi is one of the greats, so I wanted to start on him.”

Brayden Burries is the best rim pressure guard in the 2026 NBA Draft. 73rd %ile at the rim 63.4% shooting at the rim What sets Burries apart in this area for me is his versatility. He does an awesome job of blending power with finesse. He has the strength and explosiveness to finish over or through defenders, but also the craft, footwork, touch, and body control to finish in different ways. The fact that he's a freight train in transition, can attack closeouts, be versatile in the PNR, and finish with either hand is so valuable. Every year we see the importance of guards who can not just handle but also dish out physicality in the playoffs. Brayden Burries fits that perfectly.

Mikel Arteta on Gabriel Jesus' absence from training: Asked to confirm Jesus wasn't out in training today: "Yeah." Anything to do with his future? "It's something to do with the numbers we have in the squad at the moment and the way we manage that kind of situation individually with all the players that have some personal situations." Pressed on whether "personal situations" means players who could be leaving: "Personal situations, whatever they are, I think it's clear."

Mitch Johnson was asked why it was so difficult for Victor Wembanyama to get involved offensively in the first half, and what changed in the second half: "We've had that conversation before, and I understand the discourse around it. I think it's a little bit of all of it. I have to make sure that there's environments that the ball finds him. I think he's got to make sure that he can't rely on that to get shots, as well. There were times, I think, when he was open on rolls or around the paint and his teammates got to get him the ball. I think it's a combination of all that. Four shots in a half on this stage is not acceptable."

Ryan Poles doesn’t sound like a GM ready to make a big DL splash. “From a cap perspective, we probably don't have enough to make all of that work on the DL. I think there's some situations, mostly injury, that didn't allow that to come together the way it's supposed to.” #Bears

Make that TWO home runs for AaronSabato. Crushes this knuckle curve nearly 400 feet. It's the 7th time in his career he's homered twice in a game, first time at Triple-A. It's his seventh homer in 31 games with the Saints. Lead 9-0 going to bottom 6

Is Alex Karaban the most slept-on prospect in this draft? I made the case to Kevin O'Connor why he’s a top-20 pick — and why his skill, feel, and two-way versatility make him a safe bet for a long, successful NBA career.
