CaesarPad runs Augustus as a native ARM64 iPadOS app. No Windows machine being simulated, no game being streamed from a Mac. The game was built for a mouse in 1998. Apple Pencil might be better. Place buildings, draw roads, open advisors and run the city by touching it directly. Fingers move and zoom the map while Pencil handles precision. Classic Age of Empires will have to wait. Tap gold on the floor and your character walks over and grabs it. It's built on DevilutionX, the open-source Diablo engine a group of contributors has maintained for years. It already ran on iOS, with a virtual gamepad. What didn't exist was a version built around the touchscreen itself. Open sourcing it all below.

It isn't limited to the N64's original output resolution, and MK64 Reloaded's HD pack replaces the original artwork on top of that. That's the pack running in the video. Steering is genuinely analog, not left and right taps. Separate layouts for iPad and iPhone, and optional tilt steering. Pair a Bluetooth controller and it takes over. This is it, native PCVR on MacOS! The OpenXR SDK can be compiled on MacOS, So I implemented a runtime and a streaming app. Godot supports OpenXR on MacOS so I use it to test my integration. Unity could work too and of course native C++. 1/x

Vibe Coding a AAA game with threejs day 8+9: Skylines First of all, the recording below is not sped up, no building LODs, running on a macbook air m2 (8GB, 8-Core) I've added a procedural building generator to the world editor, however, i don't really like the buildings. Don't get me wrong, they actually look decent and codex has done a great job generating textures, doing uv mapping, etc. I've learned so much in 9 days! We're nearly at the end of my promised 2 week sprint and i'm considering either continuing to work on this after 14 days or open source it so you all can have fun building whatever you want on top of it! Though i'll have to go back and finish the human designer app first after the 14 days! It now also has some GTAO, FXAA and the car physics are now much, much more realistic
