For building our EOY reel, I used to open After Effects. This time, I opened Cursor. We built a hyper-specific Mac app to sequence all the clips: - Random reshuffling to try different orders - Transforms + background color fill - Global clip-length adjustment - Visual thumbnail timeline That kind of shuffling + global tweaking + visual grid just isn’t possible in another tool.

After months of using HeyGen, I can say that it is the tool that has revolutionized my life the most. I used to cancel recordings all the time. Lighting wasn't right. Background was a mess. I spotted a turkey walking in the woods and then saw two little chicks following. I came back to the road and found another chick just standing there. I got him into a box and then went searching for momma and actually found her in the weeds. I got as close as I could and dumped her chick in front of her. The chick ran up to her and my good deed was done. 😃👍🏻

I did let the tools that I use every day (because they're objectively the best at everything) bias my content. Lets give a try. I now realize the tool in the video below is the best design tool. And there's starting templates in a simple interface. And I can deploy to Vercel in one prompt. And a video is coming out later today on how i build this in 45 minutes using Cursor.
