I was curious about the facemask on Brandon Finney because it extended the drive and ended in a touchdown for Oklahoma State. Can anyone pinpoint the facemask? I can't find a better replay. It looks like maybe right at the start of the route, Finney's arm goes up and... show more

It was a make up call for the ref not calling dual face mask penalties earlier. The OSU coach kept working the refs and they rewarded him with a mystery face mask on a huge play. There was a former PAC-12 ref on the field also. Lots of plays that changed the game

That was my first thought in the heat of the moment, but I was still curious if there was something there.

It was a make up call since the OK ST coach bitched and moaned about a missed facemask earlier in the game. It worked for him so I guess that’s college football these days. Pansy shit

You could see it on the slow mo replay. It was harder to tell full speed but he definitely got his face mask.

At the start, right?

Yes. Right around the 42-43 yard line.

If you watch the back judge he goes for the flag and throws it as Wyatt is crossing after breaking from the CB. It just looks like a late call because it takes a while to land since he’s 30-40 yards back.

This is when I was thinking too.

Not something you see very often but seems like the back judge is the only one who would have a perfect view for it. 4th quarter, everyone playing hard and trying to be physical. Probably caught his facemask on accident trying to stay even with him.

It was there, and given the previous missed call there was pressure to call it when it happened.

That isn’t the play.

I know, it’s the play that was called a facemask only on OSU. It’s interesting that you brought up the play you posted acting like the refs had some type of agenda against Oregon when that so clearly wasn’t the case.

So me saying that I think it was at the start of the route is having an agenda? You’re gonna have to explain that one. I initially thought it was a makeup call but after reviewing this footage, as bad as the angle is, I think it was the right call.

All I’m saying is that even if it was an iffy call (which I don’t think it was), it would be well deserved for the missed call in my original reply. I’m just not a fan of reviewing penalties to try to justify a loss.

Not justifying anything. Just looking at something that I was curious about during the game.

You still crying 2 days later?! That must have been some ass whooping!

It was slight. Could have been a non-call.

This was a makeup call for the missed facemask earlier

He's got a hold of it for about 3 yards looks like 🤣😂

Here. Very beginning of the play. Holds it for over a second. Pretty clear and obvious.

You can’t pinpoint it but have an idea where it came from? What an idiot you are.

It was makeup call for the one that officials missed and OK. State lost his mind over

It was just before the cut.

That would have to be it. That was an unnatural turn of the head.

It’s as Wyatt is cutting in on the slant. Finney bit outside and lost leverage as Wyatt cut right. Grabbed his facemask to get back with him. Before anyone threw a flag Wyatt was jumping up and down yanking his facemask, Finney clearly grabbed and pulled it.

It was given to them cuz the refs missed a facemask on Oregon. Which lead to a scoring drive. I hated it but I understood it

About the 35 second mark of your video

Probably for that bullshit face mask call on our RB, while your defensive player had a handful of his mask too.

You realize all sports are scripted?

Sadly this is another 20-25 yard catch if thrown correctly. No one was on the sideline and if he would have led him that direction its an easy catch and yardage. Why would you purposely rewatch this D unless youre on staff.

They literally showed the replay on the game lol. He definitely grabbed his face mask.

I never saw a replay during the broadcast. Not like when they were showing the double facemask. Best angle I could get was the one I posted.

Look at Young on the cross, as soon as he makes his break you can clearly see his head get pulled backwards. Stop nitpicking shit just because you got your ass kicked

I think they just gave it to us to make up for the missed facemask

just a makeup call for the double facemask earlier, i think.
