Growing up in rural Kirinyaga, I learned early that courage is not the absence of fear, it is the decision to act despite it. I just moved to Berkeley, and unpacking was a good excuse to catalog the books in my library. I currently own 450 physical books, of which 18% are fiction and 82% are nonfiction. About 25% of my nonfiction books are about biology, which was surprising to me because I don’t really enjoy reading about biology in my spare time. When I shared my bookshelf with Claude and asked for recommendations, it suggested The Invention of Air by Steven Johnson, The Making of the Atomic Bomb by Richard Rhodes, and The Metaphysical Club by Louis Menand. The first two were already on my list, but I had never heard of the third. Overall, I think a digital bookshelf is a useful way to find more books based on my interests. My full bookshelf is here:

The communities. The Money. All of it, transferred out by someone who was never part of any of it. I never wanted to exit. I was a long term holder of projects I believed in and someone reached in and ripped that status away from me in minutes. It's not only the money. I was informed that the team will be seeking a trade immediately and will be working with me and my family to find the right place to continue competing for championships. I don’t agree with the decision and always believed it was going to begin and end in LA. Still, if there’s one thing that I have learned over the years: there are so many things that are out of your control, but it is how you respond to these things that you will look back on and remember. I have taken so much pride in playing alongside my teammates for the LA community, so thank you for embracing my family and making this such a special place for us. 2024 began with one of the best training camps of my career. Preparations start now for 2025. Highly motivated, as healthy as ever, and looking forward to playing elite football for years to come. Love you guys.. But coming for it all.

This is temporary, I always knew it was and I hope all that are going through this know this. I was lucky as I got to 6ft 1 at 12, my dad had left when I was 11 so that was over and suddenly I grew my wings and fought the older bullies back. I only extracted revenge on the few horrible ones who hurt all of us younger lot which was their way of simply masking their own weakness but it was glorious.❤️ I hope all kids and adults being bullied experience that euphoric moment when it’s over, it makes sure you never bully anyone yourself going forward. Don’t ever let weak bullies win. 🙏

I was asked what I’m doing for the holiday weekend. My response was that I was excited to get 3 days of 2 hour workouts. They looked at me like I was crazy and said that our lifestyles are really different. I don’t understand how people can celebrate by being lazy, drinking alcohol and eating junk. I love getting stronger and will use every opportunity to do so. I’ve gotten a lot of work done to my cars and done a lot of working out. Oh, and I tried a Whiteclaw for the first time last night, gross. Don’t understand the hype.
