here's an awesome coding workflow i found: i was tired of giving claude/codex the right places to look in the docs and also tired of waiting for it to explore through shit ton of files to give me an answer.... consuming tons of tokens and time i ALSO dont want to have shit ton of unnecessary files. so, i use webpull with SMFS - i just pull an entire website into a 'docs' folder, and then let the agent figure things out. 90% of the times, it WILL one shot find the answer. and then i can unmount it/ bring it to my other projects with just one command BTW smfs will work with skills, docs, anything. wherever there's filesystem search, mount smfs, and watch your agent get much better 🔥

Cursor now has a built-in web browser. You can say "start my app" and it will run the dev server in a terminal and then navigate the browser to localhost:3000. It can take screenshots of the page for iterating on design, and you can send DOM elements to the agent with prompts!

UPDATE: As many of you may know I am no longer part of The Morning Show at 960 The Ref. I will miss that gig for the rest of my life and hope to find something half as fun going forward. I am a free agent now and have no clue what my next step will be. THANK YOU to all of you.

I am at the 4th iteration on the pixel inspector and light path debugging tool. Eventually I moved the path collection to the GPU, so I don't have to toggle between CPU and GPU rendering, making the visualization fully interactive.

Here's a ~20-min one-take video walking through some of the major (and minor) improvements to the project page in Basecamp 5. The project page is the heart of Basecamp. I actively flip back and forth between 4 and 5 so you can really see the contrast. Sorry 4, you lose, but you put up a good fight for years! In the video I go through significant quality-of-life/work improvements in to-dos, documents, page structure, readability, card tables, inviting people, etc. Check it out.

In Carlito’s Way, when Benny Blanco confronts Carlito, De Palma doesn’t cut back and forth like most directors would in a normal dialogue scene. Instead, he keeps the camera at a distance and pans between the two actors, capturing the rising tension between them. And as the scene becomes more chaotic, so does the camera's movements, amplifying the intensity of their performances until the scene finally erupts. This is a perfect example of the type of stylish visual storytelling Brian De Palma is known for, something he learned from studying masters like Billy Wilder -as he’s stated before… “Great directors like William Wilder, when he's staging a scene - just gets the camera in one position and lets the actors act through the emotion of the scene. And you can see the transference of feelings between them...
