I was today years old when I found out that plugging your iPhone in with a European power adapter can cause your computer to power cycle???? 😭

It's very likely cause of voltage and amperage differences

It sounds like he's just drawing too much power from a single outlet and tripping the safety measures. Probably doesn't have to do anything with the adapter.

It's not the adapters or anything, it's the voltage difference. Everything in the EU is made to work in cohesion with each other and when other countries like America have their own higher voltage bullshit - it doesn't work well. It lessens costs alot here.

Oh thats nothing. When I travelled to Greece, we tried to plug in a small power strip (with like 4 plugs) in our room and just plugging it in shut down the power for the entire room. European outlets and American devices don’t like each other.

I wonder if this is a specific problem with Apple devices or just phones in general?? 🤔

Sounds like hes being third world and punching every single thing on the same socket.

Wait, what?

Yup 😭 I went to Lisbon and when I tried to flat iron my hair, I couldn’t put my flat iron on 400 because it was start surging and get way too hot. I was a 325 warrior for 2 weeks 🫠

Depends of the adapter. in america they supply 120 V 60 hz, Europe uses 240 V 50 hz. Most electronics can handle that.
