What a world to inhabit. It must be psychologically draining being in SF. We want British state murderers convicted but any attempt to bring justice to victims of the PIRA will be seen as an attack on the ‘peace process’ . Genuinely sickening double standard .

The acquittal of Soldier F is an incredibly disappointing day for the families of Bloody Sunday. Their campaign for truth & justice has inspired so many families, including my own. It remains one of the gravest injustices in our history that, after 53 years, not a single person has been convicted in relation to Bloody Sunday. My full support & solidarity are with these families. Their resolve, courage & tenacity are admirable. My party & I will continue to stand with them in their fight for justice.

Yesterday, the Senate delivered a long-overdue victory for the families of Holocaust victims by passing a version of the HEAR Act, which helps families secure restitution for stolen works of art. I was proud to introduce the original version of the HEAR Act in 2016. It helps right a terrible injustice and signals that America will continue to root out every noxious vestige of the Nazi regime. I will continue to fight to bring peace and justice to these families.

It is very unfortunate that some leaders are playing politics with the lives of Kenyans. Promising to waive mortuary bills for victims of the recent floods only for families to arrive at Nairobi Funeral Home and find it was mere PR is wrong and unacceptable. We will not engage in blame games, but we will stand with these families. We shall provide coffins for all the 26 deceased, facilitate transport from Nairobi to their final resting places, and clear the mortuary fees so that they can receive a dignified send-off. No leader should play politics with the lives of Kenyans. May the Almighty God rest the deceased souls in eternal peace. May He also stand with all the bereaved families during this difficult period they are undergoing. Thank you. 🙏
