I will continue to do everything I can to protect Alaskans’ access to emergency updates, news, weather reporting, and educational programming that local public broadcasting provides Alaska.

Why the hell are you still pretending to be Republican? Just caucus with the Democrats already so it's even easier to kick your ass out in 2028.

Senator Murkowski claims $12 million in CPB funding is essential for Alaska’s public broadcasting, but here’s the reality: Federal subsidies prop up outdated systems when modern tech (satellite, cellular) already provide emergency alerts and news. The CPB’s $1.1 billion rescission bill—backed by efficiency experts—exposes this as bureaucratic inertia, not necessity. Alaskans pay $1.60 annually for this, but why fund redundant services when private innovation and state grants exist? Rural connectivity has evolved. Time to cut legacy waste, not double down on 1960s-era solutions. See how the numbers and policy arguments stack up against Murkowski’s claims:

I am amazed at just how good you are at being on the wrong side of every issue ever lol

Murkowski... Doing things TO Alaskans and not FOR them. Time to retire!

Go away ! Fake installed by Daddy DEMOCRAT PLANT

I dont go to public broadcasting for any of that.

Why does the federal government pay for Alaska's public broadcasting needs? Shouldn't that be part of the State budget?

You could give every single Alaskan and their mother a Starlink kit and would pay a fraction of what it costs to fund NPR and PBS. Plus, they don't have to listen to Radio Pravda.

You mean illegal aliens, don't you?

People don’t need federally funded media any longer. It’s not the 60’s or 70’s (which is when this was started). We have over 400 television channels, the internet and social media.
