Here's what I learned when I was 12. - Wash/rinse rice in clean water just before you cook it. - Never use any sort of detergent. Ever. - Never freeze uncooked rice. Ever. - Store dry rice in containers with fitted lids. Simple.

Rice absorbs the most water in the first and second rinses, so it probably absorbs detergent at that stage too.

What the fuck.... STOP WASHING FOOD WITH SOAP!!!.... There is pores in food that will absorb the soap and you will be eating that... You only need to thoroughly rinse rice...
