I suppose I'll keep y'all updated on the process as it goes, now that this thread has been shared so heavily! I've scheduled a CT scan for next week, with a pre-op appointment soon to follow after the results are in. It's looking like the surgery itself will happen in October!

Hey, everyone. I've decided to re-open donations, because I recently had my CT scan in preparation for the surgery, and the hospital bills were much, much higher than expected. The goal has now been set to $4500, to account for this.

Great news! I've now pre-paid for the surgery, and I seriously could not have done this without your help! The total hospital bills add up almost exactly to the extended goal of the fundraiser, which has nearly been met!! Thank you all very much, again!!!!!!!

I'll be keeping donations open until this weekend (after I've had the surgery), in case anyone else would like to help me get just a little closer to that final goal. No matter what, you all have been incredible, and I'm forever grateful.

Just had the surgery. I’m doing okay! I feel like mega-trash, but I’m already being driven home, and I’ll be good as new by Monday.

It’s actually amazing how much better my hearing is, now.
