I wrote about this in my game notes...one positive from last couple of games is Lakers being much more active on D forcing turnovers. Last night the three stars led the way: Luka 4 steals, Austin 3 steals + charge, LeBron 3 steals + block.

McGuinness "There's an awful lot of screening going on in the attacking third, which I think somebody is going to get hurt from" Maybe he's talking about a different type of screening because Donegal's forward play uses it a lot - Langan screens Foley for COD goal, subtly makes him run around him and lose COD

“I can tell it’s about to be a fun season. They’re so willing to know me and know what I like.” Deandre Ayton speaks about the detailed work he’s had in practice to get on the same page with Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. He also compares Luka to CP3 and AR to Devin Booker.

"They had been going under ball screens on just about every game we watched. I told both Holloway and Sears, I hope they go under us because we're gonna rain 'em." - Nate Oats on Alabama's NCAA Tournament record-breaking 3-point barrage against BYU

In my column today I wrote about Luka-Luke guard-guard actions and why Kennard's slower release and hesitancy to shoot limits the effectiveness of these end of game/quarter sets. And why Kennard's 3pt volume is low...

I wrote about Lakers being last among all teams in playoffs in 3pt frequency. Austin Reaves being back should help with that. He didnt have great shooting game but showed the 3pt pull-up and downhill game in the first half.

JJ Redick when asked about this sequence from Deandre Ayton: "I’ve been around DA for a season now. I know how special he is for our group to succeed. And I told him this morning, I said to him in the Houston series at one point he was the big part of the reason we were winning the series. He was a big part of the reason we won the series. I believe in him and he’s going to help us win tomorrow."

I was public about my health transformation losing 100 pounds and saving my body. Now I am public about saving my soul and finding my way back to Christ. For those on the journey back to Him, I wrote this song. Hold on and overcome. God will repay you.

My dad and I are doing therapy in public. At the age of 19, I Iived and struggled among extreme poverty in Ecuador. My dad was always on my mind. I wrote him 30 letters and never heard back. Today we talked about it. My dad approved this video, for which I applaud him.
