Happening now: I met two men from special interest countries in Africa within a group of 100+ that crossed into Eagle Pass this morning—One from Eritrea says he’s going to Indiana and the other—A man from Nigeria tells me he is going to live with his uncle who has been in the U.S. for 13 years (I couldn’t make out the destination). When I asked him why now, he said because his uncle wanted him to come—I asked why not 13 years ago but he just said he wasn’t around… This is still happening every day here—The large groups started picking back up in the Del Rio Sector in October and have continued. On Sunday, Texas DPS encountered a group of 154 — Within the group: 6 men were from Afghanistan and 20 unaccompanied minors. There were 266 unaccompanied minors encountered at the southern border yesterday—66 were in the Del Rio sector alone according to DHS sources.
