Ice Cube on BIG3 players playing in the Olympics 3v3. "Fiba they've been running basketball for a long time worldwide. USA basketball and Fiba are real close. Fiba has a 3 on 3 league but I mean it's Fiba. So, it's amateur basketball." “They want our pros to go through the trail process they got to qualify and play so many games but they don't do that for the NBA guys you know what I'm saying. So we're saying we're the pro version of the sport. We got the best 3 on 3 league in the world and it's not even close." “Our guys should be able to qualify just by being able to play in the BIG3 and you know we should put the best players on the court to win without all these technicalities." Video is from summer 2024. Ice Cube challenged the Gold medal winner ( Ice Cube BIG3 Games with Names )

Ice Cube says NBA players were told they couldn’t say the name of his league on air, and that this happens in every industry “The guys in the NBA used to talk about the BIG3, go back to year one, all the time. And then they just stopped” “So I asked my guy, ‘What happened, man? Why’d y’all stop?’” “They told us, we couldn’t mention the BIG3 anymore on air…” “That’s the bullsh*t I’m talking about. I’m talking about what happened to me, but it obviously happens everywhere, to all of us”
