Homeland Security officials say the officer opened fire after he was assaulted by the man and two others with shovels. ICE says all three men are undocumented immigrants and arrested. He says he’ll open back up when we “stop the racism,” aka when we stop deporting foreign criminals. Federal law enforcement issued multiple lawful commands and verbal warnings, all of which were ignored. While trying to safely clear the area, a grey sedan sped down the road and boxed in Border Patrol. Border Patrol gave repeated warnings to the driver to back his car up which he refused. After spewing profanities at law enforcement, he proceeded to charge out of his car toward law enforcement and resisted arrest. During the arrest another US citizen assaulted the arresting agent, striking him in the head. Both were arrested. The operation resulted in the arrest of a criminal illegal alien from Mexico who has previously been arrested for assault. Secretary Noem’s message to the rioters is clear: you will not stop us or slow us down. DHS and our federal law enforcement partners will continue to enforce the law.
