We’re in close coordination with SFPD and law enforcement agencies, and we’ve decided to increase SFPD presence on Market Street. We are always evaluating where to deploy our public safety resources to keep all our neighborhoods safe, and make sure people feel safe on all our streets.

We’re grateful to all of our federal workers who continue to show up and serve our communities. 🚨 Well done to Sgt Kelly Palmer for speaking out and revealing just how serious the problems within our police force have become. It is genuinely alarming to hear how stretched and ineffective parts of policing have become, with officers struggling to provide the service the public rightly expects. We have got to rebuild frontline policing, giving officers the numbers, resources, training and backing they need to actually police our communities, investigate crime, catch offenders and keep people safe. The public should be able to report a crime knowing it will be taken seriously and properly investigated. We need policing focused on fighting crime and protecting the public. That has to be the priority. 👮
