If Xabi Alonso’s plan of signing Pep Chavarria is to keep Jorrel Hato on the bench, i wouldn’t like it, Hato was a beast at Ajax but stayed as a backup to Marc Cucurella when he arrived at Chelsea, this is his chance and the club should not deny him that, he should be our starting left back, he’s going to be a top player if given enough playing time, this club is prone to underrating stars with potentials and they end up regretting it at the end. Look at Lewis Hall now, he’s valued at €110M but was offloaded by Chelsea like he was nothing, same thing with Renato Veiga who was denied playing time until he ran out of patience and left, he was solid in the champions league and world cup games, I can mention a lot of good players that Chelsea underrated and they went ahead to prove us wrong. Pep Chavarria might be a good player but he’s 28 years old, we can’t lose a 21 years old Jorrel because of him. If Chelsea FC sell Hato, I’d not be happy with the club and Xabi Alonso in particular.

This is not a knock on Jasson Dominguez because he’s new in LF. A more experienced LF will make this catch. You can see the short strides Dominguez is taking to the ball. He has shown hesitancy on balls to the deeper parts of LF and he doesn’t have good reads off the bat. Footwork and reads have always been an issue with him. The hope is that he gets comfortable over time but he’s still a liability out there that will result in moments like this.

When he was just five years old, he was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a life-threatening condition that brings some incredibly tough challenges. He believes, deep down, that his condition isn’t a mistake. It’s part of God’s intentional design. That’s powerful. He knows he was made in the image of God, and he uses every moment he can to share the hope he’s found in Jesus. No matter the circumstances, Bryson trusts that God is faithful, and that He’s working all things for good. What a reminder for all of us.
