“I feel like I’m living in a nightmare.” Police arrested multiple people under the Terrorism Act at a Palestine Action protest on Thursday even though they did not appear to be expressing support for the proscribed group. That’s right, the term which was created to describe the largest killing of Jews in the 20th century is now being weaponized against the Jewish state during the largest killing of Jews in the 21st century. Israel is not committing genocide, it was dragged into a war when Hamas attacked on October 7th. Once again, this is not a war between Israel and the Palestinian people. This is a war between Israel and Hamas, a genocidal terrorist organization whose stated goal is the eradication of Jews. A stated goal of genocide. If following the hearing this week, the International Court of Justice calls for Israel to stop defending itself, they will effectively hand out a victory to Hamas. The International Court of Justice should not only refrain from issuing a judgement calling for Israel to stop defending itself, but this shameful case should be dismissed and thrown out in its entirety.
