I don’t want anything handed to me because I’m Black. I want to earn it because I’m qualified. I am a Christian, a veteran, a West Point graduate, an Apache pilot, a Congressman, and yes, I am Black and proud. But first and foremost, I am an American. The left wants race-based outcomes. I want every district in America to choose the best person for the job. That is equality. That is merit. That is America.
