If anyone needs me, I’m just over here building in-game assistive tech to make combat more accessible in Tears of the Kingdom

Real talk, I’d be interested to know how many other disabled gamers like me who have limited motor function have also been doing this to make the game more playable. We are pretty good at making our own accessibility where it’s lacking, even though we shouldn’t have to be. 💜

Just as I suspected, my tiktok video is getting comments from disabled players and I didn’t even frame it as an accessibility thing on that platform. @Super_Crip1994 this is another example of what I’ve seen you write about, how games can be accessible without specific features.

And this is why the difficulty mode conversation is so important. Some people can’t enjoy incredibly enjoyable games because they turn into a chore without “easier” ways to play.

Can I just say that this is both amazing and hilarious? "I am busy being a sloot for zip zaps" is going to live in my head rent-free🤣

Just out of curiosity, does this laser auto-target? Also, love the style of the video, even though I haven't played this game to get the context for all the enemies etc you're referencing and the like... yet.

Yeah, there’s a piece of equipment in the build called a construct head that always faces enemies that are nearby, so I attached the lasers to that ☺️ and thank you!
