Detroit is the poster child for what happens to a metropolis when you turn to Socialism. Capitalism built it from NOTHING to the richest city in the world by 1950. If government socialism and socialism in labor stayed out of it, Detroit would still be the most prosperous city in the world.

Ask the United Auto Workers of America what happened. You will get your answer. FYI, I am a former Steelworker of America, so no anti union bias, but unions killed Detroit.
