@BCprecisionreps @KevinCastley @MTJakeEaton Yes, Cuba trades with the US in both sectors despite the embargo. US food/ag exports to Cuba: ~$359M Jan-Sep 2025. Health/medical exports: limited, e.g., $55K in Sep 2025, plus humanitarian donations. Data from US-Cuba Trade Council.

Lol I think you hate capitalism because you suck at it, you ask the same stupid question and are expecting the same amount of engagement as you had yesterday. Which really wasnโ€™t even that much considering. With capitalism you actually have to try.

What is Appalachia's biggest recourse? Coal mining. What is the loonies biggest energy take down? Coal mining. Coincidence? Design? Not sure if anyone with half a brain can call the takedown of the coal industry "capitalism".

Because of the global communist occupation of the last 100 years that increasingly looted America to prop up China and every other nation on the planet with trillions of $, neglecting our infrastructure, inflating our currency, and exporting our jobs and manufacturing base. All so they could make life so hard and miserable people might be confused enough to blame the free market and not the communist subverters robbing us blind.

This is getting tiresome. Appalachia was built on the mining industry - when this sank into decline, instead of moving, people stayed. Too may people + not enough jobs = poverty. Add mountainous terrain making transport difficultโ€ฆitโ€™s an area not well suited to industry.

Profilbild von Kittredge

@TheDroneDealer China actually completely falls apart if it doesn't trade with the US. The US is mostly fine if China doesn't even exist.. in fact, in a lot of ways we'd be better because they're such shit bags over there.

@TheDroneDealer Wrong Trade with the US accounts for only 14% of Chinaโ€™s exports Meanwhile the US gets 18% of its imports from China The capitalist country needs a communist country moreso than the other way around

Based on 2024 data from US Census Bureau and China Customs: - China's exports to the US were ~$500-525B out of $3.58T total exports, or about 14-15%. - US imports from China were ~$439B out of $3.3T total imports, or about 13%. The 14% figure is roughly accurate, but the 18% is overstated. Trade interdependence is mutual, though percentages differ.

Capitalism also allows people to fail. Thatโ€™s why anyone bothers working hard. And only some of Appalachia looks like that. So does some of Chicago, LA, SF, DC. Capitalism is not a cure for individual poverty; it is a strong protection against universal poverty.
