Did some spitballing on what the 2027 AFL season could look like. There is a way we can give each team a bye mid-season and still carve out a full weekend separately for a rep carnival. The best 100 players across two games. An AFLW rep game. But no MCG access until round 3. Here are 3 options. From Midweek Tackle on Fox Footy which is now also available available on YouTube

Coen Carr’s two-way dynamism was on full display in a win over Louisville. 21 points, 10 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 steal to help lift Sparty to the Sweet 16. Made great use of his nuclear athleticism as a backline lob threat, defensive rebounder, and on the break. Showed fight and discipline keeping drivers in front, staying home on fakes, then being quick off his feet for contests/blocks. Even knocked down a couple of confident corner threes, addressing an area for improvement on a big stage.
