Texas has been flaunting with the idea of independence as much as the UK flaunts ridding of the royal family. You really think a state the size of Texas could last between the largest power and one of the biggest emerging economies?

If people thought they were going to actually secede, tens of millions of people would be buying houses there to make sure they could go with them.

I was born in San Antonio Texas. Can I go back there if I'm a native son? I currently live in comiecalifornia. I would imagine they would let folks who were born there come back easier. I would love to move back to Texas.
