Cape Town CBD. The cleanest most well maintained CBD in South Africa, it is on par with the best in the world. I saw with my own eyes cleaners even cleaning on a Sunday. Separately people complain about Cape Town townships. Go to Townships in other provinces, they worst. At least Cape Town townships have functioning swimming pools, street lights and very importantly BRILLIANT clinics. We did a survey with hidden cameras etc in all provinces clinics, chose 3 randomly we not sure yet if we can legally post these but Cape Town township clinics got a 10/10 from doctors who did the survey. WHY CANT EVERY CBD IN SOUTH AFRICA NOT LOOK LIKE THIS?? The mayor, Geordin Hill-Lewis , no bodyguards and motorcades, literally speaks to people on the streets when he is walking like they old buddies. Those ladies selling flowers for over 30 or 40 years, love him, they say he pops in says hello and supports their business. #FactsMatter

They've signed Trevor Noah to brainwash the ignorant populace, but when it comes to Nigeria, he will make jokes that dents our reputation. This isn't even a band for band situation, if you love your life, do not go to South Africa. They do not hide the fact that they h@te foreigners. They're also very lazy, they'll steal from you and take your life, they have no remorse. Avoid that country.

I am honestly laughing in stitches right now. It seems some illegal foreigners are actively wishing that South Africans make the ultimate mistake and hand Julius Malema the presidency. 😆 🤣 😂 There is a video circulating with the caption: "Julius Malema, the leader of the EFF in South Africa, is loved across Africa. Malawians wish that Malema could be the President of South Africa, and ultimately, the whole of Africa." Ironically, the people cheering for this are currently stranded in Durban. It begs the question: will that wish ever materialize? The reality on the ground says a resounding no. Stadium capacity does not equal voting power. The EFF managed to completely fill the Moses Mabhida Stadium in KZN just two weeks before the national elections, yet they still suffered a devastating 7% drop in KwaZulu-Natal votes, losing roughly 270,000 voters. If they cannot convert a packed stadium into actual election victory, then filling up the Union Buildings to capacity means absolutely nothing. They have consistently failed to turn performative hype into real political power.

He did not say this, I am, with all the crazy Malema demands GURANTEED President Cyril Ramaphosa led GNU WILL SURVIVE THE FULL DURATION. Interesting story I heard about him, he is mayor but sometimes goes to buy his own coffee. No entourage. No bodyguards. On his way chatting to the people in the street and businessmen asking about service delivery etc. even those ladies selling flowers love him. can you imagine JHB Mayor Dada Morero going to buy his own coffee. I am privileged to be invited as an observer to the Spier Dialogue 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, a gathering that has brought together respected leaders, policymakers, diplomats, entrepreneurs, and change makers from across Africa and the world to discuss the future of democracy, governance, leadership, urbanisation, and economic transformation on our continent. This opportunity was made possible through the kind facilitation and connection of Mr. Peter Obi, whose commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue and engagement across African leadership spaces continues to open doors for constructive exchange and shared learning. As someone who contested for the position of Chairman of AMAC in the last election, this experience has been deeply enriching, particularly as I had meaningful engagements and listened to Mr. George Hill-Lewis, the Mayor of Cape Town and Leader of the South AfricanDemocratic Alliance, on city building, sustainable urban development, and how African cities can be transformed through visionary leadership, proper planning, and focused oriented governance. These are exactly the ideas and reforms I envisioned for AMAC and Abuja, creating functional communities, improving infrastructure, ensuring environmental sustainability, empowering young people, and building cities that truly work for the people. I also had the privilege of exchanging ideas with Mr. Venancio Mondlane, the leadership of ANAMOLA, the Mayor of Mozambique, and several other distinguished African leaders and thinkers on governance, economic productivity, institutional reforms, and the urgent need for Africa to invest more in its people, especially the youth. One thing remains clear, Africa has enormous potential, but realizing that potential requires competent, accountable, and compassionate leadership committed to service rather than personal interests. The conversations here in Cape Town further strengthen my belief that transformational leadership and intentional city development are critical to building the Africa we all desire.
