@DPatKelly I took from him life may be weird as all get out but that the weirdness is as funny as it is weird or scary; that such ominous freakiness is actually part of normality’s background buzz; and looked at another way the grotesquerie, the horror suggests liberation from dull reality

The straits need to be open, unimpeded, without tools. And obviously that needs to happen immediately as soon as anything is agreed to. Well, look, I think our position is well stated. The president had a very important, I think, historic call just a couple days ago with a number of leaders from the region. I think there’s strong alignment and agreement on what a preliminary draft should look like. I think like anything with something like this, it’s going to take a couple days to settle on, even down to the disagreements over a word sentence. So we’ll have to work through that. If there’s going to be a deal, we’re going to have to work through that. But this is, you know, it’s either going to be a good deal or there isn’t going to be one."
