If we get an unconditional surrender on all tariffs in the coming days, there is no reason to be structurally bearish on the economy anymore. Yes, we might still get a small recession, and that is unfortunate, but it would be very manageable. Let's do the right thing here.

Surrendering all tariffs might provide a small rally but in the big picture, it change's nothing. The dollar and US bonds will continue to fall as countries find deals in other countries as America is an unreliable trade partner. Also, the debt crisis isn't going anywhere.

Might be a contrarian take, but we won't be headed for any sort of recession if these tariffs are lifted It's a big if, and I am very doubtful that he fully caves

No tariffs on a complete laptop, 145% tariffs on parts. They are fucking morons

What’s so crazy is that Trump has now left US exporters unable to see into China and China now still able to sell most valuable things into the US. Art of the deal.

Lmao

The problem is that although Trump capitulated on electronics which is 20-30% of all Chinese exports to US, China’s 125% tariffs on all US exports are still in place! This alone is enough to trigger a recession.
