We are clearing out the cartels and gangs first for a reason. Only after can arrest begin, the public must be safeguarded. Be the autists we know you are. I’m horrified by the shooting that occurred today at 345 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. This was an act of terrorism. My deepest condolences go out to the NYPD officer who lost their life and to their grieving family. I am also praying for the six individuals who were shot, for all those affected, and for the continued safety of our city. There is no justification for violence—none. What happened today is a heartbreaking reminder of the threats we continue to face, and I truly fear for the safety of New York City and our nation. To the brave men and women of the NYPD—thank you for putting your lives on the line every day to protect our communities. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May we find strength, unity, and justice in the face of this tragedy.
