@Chloetilley @CallumAM Denmark gave HALF of all our fighter jets and ALL of our artillery to Ukraine. It was little in actual numbers, but if Germany or even the rest of Europe have given the same %. It would have changed everything.

@Chloetilley @CallumAM I agree with the Danish MP, Germany's defense contribution to Ukraine is underwhelming. We should focus on our own national security rather than funding foreign wars. Trump was right to question NATO spending and prioritize America's interests.

@Chloetilley @CallumAM Shouldn’t lose sight of the direct financial impact of the outbreak of war had on German energy investment. The country had committed to Russian gas. Denmark despite having its own supplies it’s been dependent upon German pipelines over this period.

FREDERIKSEN: Anti-ballistic is one of the most important tools for protecting Ukrainian society. Zelenskyy proposed that we form coalition on anti-ballistic. I totally agree with that. It's necessary for Ukraine and for the rest of Europe. Denmark has been one of the biggest donors to Ukraine since the beginning of this war. Even though we have just had elections in Denmark and I am currently trying to form new government, I can tell you that almost everyone in Denmark still agrees that our support for Ukraine must continue. I am quite proud that, even though many years have passed and we see growing division on this issue in other European countries, Danish people continue to stand together in solidarity with Ukraine. Anti-ballistic missile systems are one of the areas where we must now work even more closely with Ukraine. We already have Ukrainian production in Denmark based on Danish model. I also think that Ukraine’s drone and counter-drone technology must be included in Europe’s future defence strategy.
