For me it’s like one little thing takes a much longer time’ “You’ve said a couple of times you know what you... need to work on. Are you able to share what those things are?” Iga: “Some technical stuff that have been pretty tough for me to have a smooth process in terms of changing them. I see Carlos for example changing his serve every year 😂. For me it’s like one little thing takes a much longer time. There’s some stuff on the serve I want to change. I already changed that in the preseason but then the matches come and you don’t have that much time to think about this. You don’t want to think about these kind of details when you play. It would be nice to have some privacy’ “I wanted to ask something that Coco was talking about last night. The cameras backstage at the tournament… I know you got filmed recently forgetting your credential… you’re sort of always on camera at a lot of different tournament areas.. I’m wondering if you think there should be more privacy for players and their teams as they’re back there? Or how you see the balance of that versus them trying to have entertainment and content coming out.” Iga: “The question is, are we tennis players? Or are we animals in the zoo? Where they are observed even when they’re pooping. Ok, that was exaggerating obviously, but it would be nice to have some privacy. It would be nice also to have your own process and not always be observed. For example, in other sports, you have some technical things you wanna do. It would be nice to have some space you can do that without the whole world watching. On Wimbledon there are courts where people with accreditation can get there but it’s without the fans. Harry about why he chose to do residencies in certain cities on Zane Lowe “I think it makes the show better. I think you can build something that doesn't have to travel every night. I think the show itself is better. I think there's something in this that allows me to like stay in my life while I'm doing it and therefore I think allows me to take care of myself better, which I think makes me better at doing the thing. It's not like I'm saying I'll never travel again, but I want to see what it looks like if you do it a different way. And you know, people in my band have like families now and kids and some aspect of that, too. It's really important to me that they're on the road that I would love to like have them and I don't want to make it like near impossible for them to be able to do that with me.”

This piece is 4 years old, and in artist years, that feels like a lifetime. So much can change in that time. Your style, your skill, your perspective. I usually have a hard time looking at my older work, especially anything more than a year old. I tend to focus on all the things I could’ve done better. But this one hits differently. It’s like that one song you used to listen nonstop during a specific time in your life. Every time you hear it, it instantly takes you back. Super nostalgic. That’s what this piece does for me. It reminds me of the younger DeeKay: full of curiosity, obsessed with the craft, completely immersed in the joy of creating. I’m still that person, but with a lot more responsibilities now. That purity I felt back then, I don’t ever want to lose it. I want to keep making art that moves people. I want to stay playful. I don’t want to grow up.

I’ve put in a lot of time and effort and work into this, you know what I mean? Wendy: In the past, I used to cry easily. Whenever I watched sad movies or dramas, I’d cry often. Now, even if I were to watch those, I don’t cry. But, somehow, when it comes to the work I do, I can’t help but shed tears of gratefulness. I think it’s like that for my work. The work of being a singer. 10 years into this, there is still a lot that I don’t know, and there is still a long way for me to go. I asked Doc Rivers how much longer he envisions coaching as he prepares to enter the Hall of Fame. He replied, “I won’t answer that, but I have grandkids that I want to see. I’ll put it that way. I’ll let you figure it out from there. I have seven grandkids now and they’re all eight years and under, and it kills me every time I miss grandparents day with each one of them in school. It’s probably time to go see them more, so I’ll let you figure out the rest.”

If you do a good job focusing today and prioritizing today, if you pick the right thing to focus on, it earns you no bonus points for tomorrow. Tomorrow you show up, and if you spend all that time on YouTube or getting distracted or whatever, that day is gone. Other things are like that, too. Just because you worked out two weeks ago doesn’t mean you don’t need to do it today. Or just because you were a good spouse yesterday, that earns you no bonus points for today. You still need to show up for them. And so I’m trying to get comfortable with the endless nature of those things. A lot of the time we try to resist the endless nature of that stuff. “Oh, I wish it wasn’t that way.” We try to convince ourselves that it’s like a finish line. “If I just do this 21-day cleanse, then I’ll be a healthy person and I won’t have to think about it anymore. 🐺feeling upset? 🐶no you are the one and only good hyung to me, idk, i really adore hyung *started sobbing* since in the past , either in recording studio or places like that, whenever we were clashed over little things , as much as i care about this person, it felt weird to me too, to express was very difficult, since you are the eldest that need to lead the team , i feel that its not easy to talk about those things , its like i thought about these things this much, and i dont want the leader and the eldest to know about these things 🐺me too, but its opposite, what im thankful of seungmin is that you say what you have to say? because of that for me, based on my personality , since there are times i didnt realise the mistakes i made, the action and way of speaking which i was not aware of, if theres someone who would pick up on this like “ah i made this big mistake” “ah i need to pay attention on this” thanks to you, i feel like you made me think about those things 😭😭😭😭

It’s been the Lynx way, the culture, I think people have long said that about us. That you can see it in the way we play, and that it’s real and it’s sustainable, it helps you through hard times… it’s fun for them, and it’s real, you can’t fake that kind of stuff… I have made mistakes along the way, for sure, but it only reinforces… the single most important thing they’re doing is the selection of people, of course the talent is probably what puts you on the radar, but the selection of who the individual is and who they’ll be for your organization because it’s really hard to undue the damage that it causes when you don’t put the time or when you think you can change someone. Coach’s often think we can change someone, and so, I hope I’ve made my last mistake, and we don’t go down that path again. I got some safeguards, guardrails in place to holler at me if I consider such things. It leads to greater quality of life”

Am I right? And how do you balance that? Lewis: I feel like we're going in the right direction. Rome wasn't built in one day, so it takes time to build. For me, coming into the team, I wanted to be respectful of the way they've done things in the past and just to really observe and see where our strengths and where our weaknesses are and to highlight where our weaknesses are and areas that we need to work on. But I do feel that they've been responding. I think you're starting to see, hopefully, some of the impact of the work that we're doing in the background and also into next year's car. This is a car that I've had nothing to do with in terms of developing this car over the years. Hopefully, from next year, my input goes into that car, and that will be a car that I've hopefully been a part of or will have been a part of developing. But I think we've got a really great rapport. I think we're really progressing, particularly since the summer break. I think things have started to get better, and it's all just about building trust and communication. Also, I'm coming into a team that English is not the first language, and I don't speak Italian, so it's finding a common ground. And the fact is we all want to win.
